SHINGLES, GREEN & KILN DRIED

Shingles are manufactured from old growth logs, circular sawn on both sides and have a relatively smooth face.  Number 1 green shingles are generally used for roof application.  Green shingles should not be used for sidewall application. We strongly recommend that shingles being used for sidewall application be kiln dried (10-13% moisture content).  If cost is less of a concern and you're seeking a uniform look, then we recommend our sidewall products.
