PRODUCT COVERAGE CALCULATOR

Sample Product Coverage Calculator and Definitions

Product Coverage Calculator:

Calculate the cost per square and the number of Cartons or Squares required.

Cost Per 100 sq ft of coverage:

Recommended Exposure divided by Desired Exposure multiplied by Cost per 1 sq Carton/Square

Example:

#1 18" RR Sanded and the desired exposure is 6"

14"/6" x $100 = $234 per 100 square feet of Coverage

Example:

#1 16" 5X and the desired exposure is 6.5"

5"/6.5" x $100 = $77 per 100 square feet of coverage

Number of Cartons or Squares Required:

Recommended Exposure divided by Desired Exposure divided by 100 multiplied by the total square footage to cover.

Example:

#1 18" RR Natural Groove and the desired exposure is 7.5" and the total sq footage is 3200

14"/7.5"/100 x 3200 = 60 ctns (rounded up) required

Example:

#1 16" 5X and the desired exposure is 6" and the total sq footage is 2400

5"/6"/100 x 2400 = 20 sqs required

Note:

For 1/2 Square Cartons, #1 18" RR or #1 24" RR, need to multiply cartons required x 2
